Atlas. Literacy & Language
Progress you can see

We don't promise results. We measure them.

Anyone can say a program "works." A clinical practice shows you the data. Here's exactly how we track your child's progress — from the first baseline to the day they graduate.

What we measure

Four dimensions of real progress

Decoding accuracy

Can your child read words they've never seen before? We measure real decoding — not memorized sight words — against standardized benchmarks.

Reading fluency

Accuracy, rate, and expression — tracked over time so you can see reading move from exhausting to automatic.

Language & comprehension

Reading is language. We track the underlying processing skills — phonological awareness, vocabulary, comprehension — that make print make sense.

Confidence & independence

The change parents notice first: less homework resistance, more willingness to try. We ask about it at every review, because it matters as much as the numbers.

How it works

Baseline. Data. Re-evaluation.

01

A standardized baseline

Your child's evaluation establishes exactly where they start — with standardized, norm-referenced measures, not impressions. This is the yardstick everything is measured against.

02

Data every session

Every therapy session collects progress data on the specific skills being treated. You see it too — no black box, no "trust us."

03

Honest re-evaluation

A formal re-assessment measures growth against the baseline — objectively. If it's time to adjust the plan, we adjust. If it's time to graduate, we celebrate.

A note on results

Every child's brain is different — so we won't promise you a timeline.

What we promise instead: evidence-based intervention delivered by a licensed SLP, honest measurement at every step, and a straight answer at every review — including "your child is ready to graduate" or "this isn't the right fit, and here's who to call." As a young practice, every family gets our fullest attention — and their results, with written consent, will be the only stories we ever publish here.

The journey

What the first months look like

An illustrative overview of our clinical process — every child's actual plan is individualized after their evaluation.

Week 1–2

Evaluation, in your home

Comprehensive testing where your child is most comfortable. You receive a written report with clear findings and a specific plan — explained to you in plain language, not jargon.

Weeks 3+

Structured therapy begins

Individual sessions, minimum twice per week, targeting the exact skills the evaluation flagged. Progress data from day one — and simple things to practice between sessions.

Ongoing

Progress reviews with you

Regular check-ins where we walk you through the data: what's improving, what we're adjusting, and what to expect next. You are never out of the loop.

Annually

Formal re-evaluation

Standardized re-assessment against the original baseline. The data decides the next step: continue, adjust, or graduate.
